Oui, mon ami, I know who you refer to, but that rremark of Hartney's in the 41 book was tongue-in-cheek. As you knnow, that darling was transferred to nonflying status in the SOS. I am pretty certain that Rickenbacker appreciated it very much to have Prinz shoot at him, or that the flyers whe could have used that plane he crashed to make a contribution to bring the war to an end. In any other army, Prinz would have been put up against a wall and shoot for simple unadulterated cowardice, and dereliction of duty, and endangering the lives of ground personnel.
