Lessee... if American pilots don't get credit for kills scored in French-designed aircract, do British pilots get credit for kills scored in Nieuports? What about Austro-Hungarians flying German planes? What about Italians flying Camels? And what about an entire German air force flying planes designed by a Dutchman?

My gosh. Here we fought a whole war nobody got a single ace. Makes ya wonder why we bothered.

Please explain why the Jenny was such a lousy aircraft. I always thought it a rather good craft to learn in.
Thanks,
Steve

Ummm...is your bridge nice and strong? Do you have a nice dry place to sit beneath it? Do you have lots of people who try to cross it? Do you tell them to stay off it? Do they run away?
Happy, happy troll!

Ahh, pippy, my lad.....
I suggest you consider your words a bit more wisely next time. Some of the contributors to this forum are not as forgiving and mellow as I, and they might be tempted to knock out your tooth.

This clown isn't really worth the effort. The men in question were bravely fighting against a common enemy. (By the way, that enemy was brave, well organized, and equipped with aircraft that were at least the equal to the Allied aircraft, often better). Americans often encounter this kind of negativism from their Allies. If you guys could have won it without us, why didn't you? Either time? Why did it require an American Army based in Germany and an American Navy forward deployed to Japan and Italy to keep the Soviets out of London and Canberra? We were ON YOUR SIDE, DAMN IT! Would you rather have had us AGAINST you?
