Dwight and any fellow forumites at DPR2000:
I can't make Dawn Patrol Rendevouz 2000, but it seems like a golden opportunity to spread the word about the
Frank Luke Restoration Project to thousands of WWI aviation enthusiasts. Unfortunately I have to be in Atlanta that weekend, but perhaps we could make up some flyers or something as handouts and ask vendors to pass them out to customers with each sale or something. It just seems like too good an opportunity to pass up, and time is so critical (the plaque goes up on Nov 18 and we need the money yesterday!).
Does anyone have any ideas how this could be accomplished? Can anyone who is going to be there jump in and help me get it done? Are there any other ways that we could use DPR 2000 as a platform for spreading the word about the Luke monument? Would each vendor ask each customer if they'd like to add a $1 donation to their sale price to help out the project, to be collected after the show by a forumite at the event?
Please (please!) give me any ideas you might have. Maybe I could design and print a few thousand flyers and ship them to someone who could get them handed out in Dayton? I really need some forumites to dive in and help out like everyone did when we had the petition drive last year. Please let me know what ideas you guys might have. Thanks.
