Does anyone know what airfields were used by Schlasta 21 from April 1918 to the end of the war?

Also, does anyone know if the USAF Museum Halb CL IV fuselage is representative of unit marking or is it just the stripes on the tail? Often Schlastas did adopt standard markings. I understand that the unit adopted white tails, yellow band and white diamond with black plane #s in Sept 1918.

Does anyone know what Schlasta units may have operated in 5th Army sector and "C" sector from September 1918 till end of war?

Okay, just three questions but any help will do.

Schutzstaffel 21 was established on 5 July 1916 from Sonderstaffel III. Schusta 21 was redesignated Schlactstaffel 21 on 27 March 1918.
The markings data I have meageris as follows: In March Schusta was equipped Han.Cl.II machines with white upper and lower elevators. The aircraft were number 1-6 in white shadowed in black. In July Schlasta 21 was equipped with Halb.Cl.II and Cl.IV aircraft with black whites stripes on the fuselage, white fin, rudder and tailplane. The aircraft numbers were painted in blackat the leading edge of the fin. After the war on of the Halb.Cl.II wwere taken over bythe American Air Service. The fuselage was banded in two colors that APPEAR to be red and yellow, The tailplane is painted in longitudinal stripes on the same colors. The wings were over painted the lighter color(yellow?)The fin and rudder is white with an identical 3 painted on the leading edge. The machine was probably the Staffel Fuhrer's aircraft.
Schlasta 37 was at Anoux A/F in AAC on 26 Sept'18 to the end of the war.

Hi Dan-San

I have notes that Kampfstaffel T was not renamed Sonderstaffel 3 until december 1916.
The prehistory of this unit from spring 1916 until July 1916 is still a ?

Hi,
Gunnar is right. Schusta 21 was renamend exactly on Jan 1, 1917.
In March 1917 the unit was stationed in Corbeghem with 6th Army, moving to 4th Army in June. There it remained possibly untill Feb 1918 although it seems that Schusta 21 sometimes changend between 4th and 6th Army for a short period of time.

Many thanks Dan!

That was way more info than I ever was expecting.

Someday soon I hope to have a few color profiles up at my site of some Schlata aircraft of 1918.
