Coming Up Sooner Than You Think!!!! U. S. Air Force Museum's Dawn Patrol Rendezvous September 29-Oct 1. 2000 (That's flying Friday - Sunday.) (First pilots' briefing/meeting Thursday evening. Then, every morning before flying. If you can't make the Thursday briefing, attending any morning briefing will enable you go fly.) Right on the grounds of the U.S. Air Force Museum. The Traffic Pattern is right around the museum and the landing field is located right in front of the museum. This is a "MUST" attend if you can at all make it. !!!! REALLY IMPORTANT STUFF !!!! The registration packets are coming out and several of us have received ours!! If you didn't get one and are planning on attending, do whatever you have to do to get one.. If you are planning on attending with an aircraft, model, or any thing else associated with W.W.I, Make sure you register with them so they can start to plan. Go to: http://www.wpafb.af.mil/museum/wwiflyin.htm and fill out the form. There's no obligation if you do. If you have any other questions, contact Teresa Lacy, The HMIC at (937) 255-8046, Ex 311or email her at: teresa.lacy@wpafb.af.mil By the way, your standard 50/100/300 liability insurance will not be enough. You'll have to increase it to 100/100/300 to be able to fly. (it cost me three whole dollars to do this.) This was a real hoot last time and they really treated us royally. NOW!!! For the answer to the Big Question: WHERE THE HELL IS IT???? Click Here!! for directions http://www.wpafb.af.mil/museum/dir.htm

WHAT !? Is no one interested in coming to the Dayton fly-in now ? I was in hopes to get a head count on Forumites. It should be a big time for all. Wear a WWI era uniform or civilian clothing to be treated royally by the museum. I believe that the SimGuild people will be there showing off the latest version of their online WWI Aero Sim of Flying Circus.
See ya thar,
Lt. Dwight Rudder, RFC

Glad you going to make it. Look for me and my Nie16B. Look in the Forum Legion of Honor section to see photos of my aeroplane.

If you are coming as a spectator, NO, but if you are coming as a Reenactor, YES, go to the site and talk to Teresa Lacy by phone or email.
Hope to see you there.

I've been to the two previous " Fly-ins " and enjoyed them both tremendously, I don't re-inact,although I do enjoy watching the planes, I know a few of the owners, Ross Walton and Fred Murin. Is Teresa Lucy A/K/A Jones? I met Teresa Jones at both shows and she's one fantastic lady. I have some very interesting video footage of her being " straffed" in the middle of the airfield by a Fokker DR! and a Thomas Morse.
Looking forward to meeting you at the "Dawn Patrol Fly-in" Stay Level, Bob Philios
