Recommended awards: were they granted ?

I have before me a recommendation for an MC to Lieutenant Herbert Bainbridge Russell, drafted 10 March 1916 (apparently in concert with a Lieutenant Medlicott). Others recommended at the time got MCs on 2 June 1916 - but not him. Does anyone know of an award to this man, including LONDON GAZETTE date ?

I also have before me recommendations for Mentions in Despatches to Lieutenant (Temporary Captain) John Mecredy McAlery, 2nd Lieutenant Leslie Archibald Norris, 2nd Lieutenant William Ernest Reed, Temporary 2nd Lieutenant Roy Willison Chappell, Temporary Lieutenant James Martin Child, and 2nd Lieutenant (Temporary Lieutenant) Geoffrey Sebastian Buck. Of these, Child received a Belgian award (Chevalier, Order of Leopold) on 24 September 1917. Can anyone confirm Mentions in Despatches or other awards to Mssrs McAlery, Norris, Reed, Chappell or Buck ?
