Hi,

We know now that a number of Christiansen's victories were ships.
In the excellent 'above the lines' Christiansen is credited with two victories on the 18th july 1918.
Source in Freiburg archives shows the following victories of Seeflugstation I on that day (possibly not complete) :

Lt.d.R. Hahn and Flugmeister Hess shot down a Short 184 in quadrant 1305K, for both credited as their 1st victory

Oblt.d.R. Chrisitansen and Vizeflugmeister Wladika shot down a Short 184 in the same quadrant. Official Freiburg text says that it was resp. the official 5th and 2nd victory !

Both these victories were officially credited as mentioned.

The planes shot down were N2927 and 2937 of the Marine Aeroplane Depot of Westgate.

Was there a third plane shot down that day of this unit or am I having the full data, so also the correct information ?

Thanks for your reactions !!!

VBR from JR
