Hauptmann Julius Staab, born 31.July 1882 Würzburg, married, 14.July 1902: stepped in the 10th Infanterie-Regiment, 1.March 1914 Oberleutnant, summer 1914 Fliegertruppe, observer badge 9.9.14, 9.August 1915 Hauptmann, since 2nd August 1914 with Feld-Flieger-Abteilung 2 b in the Field, 1915 severly wounded at the nose by AAA, back to a FEA, 19th August 1915 to Feld-Flieger-Abteilung 4 b, 21.September 1915 again to a FEA, 21.January 1916 leader of Armee-Flugpark von Strantz, 6th November 1916 leader of Feld-Flieger-Abteilung 7 b, 7 b became FA(A) 293 b, 9.August 1917 Staab left FA(A) 293 b.

Hauptmann Reinhard Kriegelsteiner: born 1887 in Niederthann/Pfaffenhofen (Upper Bavaria), not married, 15th July 1907 stepped in the 13th Infanterie-Regiment, 26.May 1909 Leutnant, 19.May 1915 Oberleutnant, 28.May 1918 Hauptmann, served 1914/15 with the infantry, stepped in the Fliegertruppe January 1916, since 8th January 1916 oberver training in Schleißheim (FEA), 1.April 1916 observer with Kasta 35, 6th September 1916 observer badge, 3rd December 1916 leader Kasta 35 (= Schusta 26), since 25.August 1917 leader of FA(A) 293 b - maybe until end of the war. (?)

Thank you very much for these names, these both units were both stationed at Jabbeke in 1917, but their commander were the remaining questionmark I had.

Thank you very much for the very interesting career of these both commanders, now I can finally complete these last two chapters of Jabbeke airfield.
