Does anyone know how to contact the U of Texas at Dallas and get copies of things like, oh, records from the Ferko collection???

Thanks to whomever can answer this.

VBR,

Al Lowe

Dial 1-214 (or maybe 972, as Dallas is growing like a tumor) 555-1212 and ask the Nice Lady for their telephone number.

Al,

I have been to this very fine collection and it is very much worth a trip to Dallas to see. I spent a day there last summer and it is the size of a small wharehouse. I can tell you that they have no staff do any research at all. They had one student that was helping but he quit. I have a few friends coming down this summer and we are going back for two days with a scanner and a lap top. If you have anything you want me to look for I will just drop me an e-mail.

Al: I believe that my old bud Jay Miller (previously of Aerofax) was involved with the collection. Don't know if it's on a reg'lar basis, but at least it's a name to bandy about.

Al,

I, too, want to go and see this collection. Perhaps we can join forces and go searching together?

That would be a find idea, it's always easier and faster to search for something when you have more people searching in the same general direction.

They have some pretty strict rules down there. No outside equipment. If you want photos, you must use their service. Also, it's best if you make an appointment.
