I live in a community outside of Windsor called LaSalle;. I publish a community newspaper here. We have a school called Colonel Bishop which is about to revert to a community centre. I am researching Wm. Bishop and have found interesting information. what I need to know is why did he come to LaSalle, why was the school named after him and are there other schools in ONtario named after him? Any information would be greatly appreciated.
