Hi. Does anyone out there have a copy of Baring's "RFC HQ", and if so, can you tell me if he mentions a place called AUTIGNY-LA-TOUR, when, and why? Thanks a lot in advance.

I have the book, but it's been a few years since I've read it, so I can't tell you for certain.

Hi Scott. Could you please check for me and tell me if there is anything about it? I'd be extremely pleased if you could.
Thanks a lot in advance.

He mentions it at the very end of the book. Evidently HQ was moved to this location in June of 1918 and they remained there until the Armistice. Aside from a paragraph of description about the area, he says little else about the town itself.

Hi Scott, and thank you. I could have expected more from a book which seems to be a reference, but never mind, I now know when and how long the HQ was there, which isn't so bad.
