After reviewing previous threads, and the evidence that is available, I've come to the conclusion that Bishop was a liar.
(continue scrolling down)

LATE APRIL FOOLS!!!!

Actually, I've come to the conclusion that it's currently fruitless to get drawn into any arguments about Bishop. I will contribute what I know when asked, and where it is apparent that a lack of knowledge is resident in the minds of whomever starts a thread here about Billy Bishop.

However, what you should do if you're looking for info on the web is start with my Billy Bishop Zone web site and go from there. IF any of you are interested in the controversy, do that and you will save all of us a lot of time and trouble in trying to explain it for the umpteenth time.

I will warn all of you in advance, my web pages on Bishop are biased in his favor, but I do not deny that the man had problems, one being most likely an alcoholic, probably brought on by his wartime experiences.

I am very familar with this type of DSS in that my father was also an alcoholic, primarily as a result of the horror he saw in WWII.

VBR,

Al Lowe

An intersting soap opera?

Al says Bishop is a liar, Leon finally comes around to believing that Popkin got MvR; what's next, does the Rittm return as the reincarnation of Hermann Göring?

I declare - is "someone" trying to start something! I used to pity "someone" for all the flak they took for their idolatry, but now I'm convinced "someone" actually thrives on it.

In fact (at least on my Mac G4) one doesn't NEED to scroll down to read the whole message. So, I think the response(s) to which you refer are, in fact, inclusive of your message in its entirety.

Sorry Mark, no I didn't. You got to stick smiley faces on it. Like this or this or even this <.

It's difficult to read someone's tone in a posted message. That's why whenever I'm poking fun, I always have smiley faces as part of the message.

It's not anyone's fault, it's just the nature of the beast.

VBR,

Al Lowe

Well, I just checked out Mr. Lowe's website. I suggest that all of us do so, for the purpose of finding a suitable context in which to place his statements.
