I play a great game online for only $10 a month called SimGuild's Flying Circus. search for it and play. It has great flyte models. The Graphics are a little dated but it is also due for a upgrade to 3D soon.

Do yourself a favour and go buy Red Baron 3D. You should be able to pick it up from an online store at a reasonable price. Then visit the Delphi Flight Sim forum (link from my Red Baron 3D site, http://jasta79b.future.easyspace.com), and go pick up all the various add-ons that have been created (like historically accurate patches, photo realistic terrain, new aircraft etc). Trust me, you won't regret it! Vince

RB3D is good but we all know that SDOE WWI
OpenPlane will surpass RB3D in the near future. Check out the openPlane site at.

Yes! Knights of the Sky was a fairly poor simulation.. but the incredible little encyclopedia that came with it detailing von Richtoffen's entire career, letters, memoirs and some superb photographs was worth the £30 on it's own!
Alas.. I don't have a working copy of the game anymore though. ( My version was for the ancient Amiga 500+!! LOL!
Still. I can reccommend Air Warrior 3 as a suitable replacement -- the games are very similar in the heads-up dsiaplay and just as clunky. ;o) Speaking of WWI flight sims... does anyone remember the excellent Chock's Away! that wasout on the old Arcimedes? Now that was a King among flyers!

I played KOTS (Knights Of The Sky), and I play AW3 (Air Warrior 3), by comparison, AW3 is not the same. KOTS would let you fly all up and down the Western Front. AW3 does not. In the WWI theatre, the area covered by the map is not very big at all. My biggest complaint about KOTS was the view out of the cockpit looked about the same from every angle except straight ahead. Even that was rather generic.

But I liked the way they let you move your Squadron around, if you were the CO. It had some interesting features, but was greatly overshadowed by Red Baron.

As for any WWI today, the best available is Red Baron 3D, basically Red Baron II.55. Of course, it only gets better if you try some of the UNofficial Patches that have been made for it by various members of Delphi Forum.
