In doing some research on Canadian flyers in WW1, I came across the following member of Sholto Douglas' 84 Squadron: Capt.Lancelot Duke,DFC! A quick check of the RAF communiques show him with at least two victories in April 1918, plus the Sholto Douglas autobiography has a great anecdote in which, during the 1918 March retreat, Duke tackled a German two-seater and drove in down to crash on the squadron's airfield, almost killing his squadron commander in the process when his bullets aimed at the two-seater tore up the earth near Sholto Douglas! Anyone out there know more about our heroically named aviator?

An English two-seater team went by the names: Duffus and Winterbottom!

Kind regards,

Reinout
