Hello,

Is there anyone who can tell me more about Georg Weiner? I only know the things mentioned in this site and that he became a Major General in the Luftwaffe. He died on 24 january 1957.

More info would be great!!!

Thanks,

Jos

Hi

The information about his day of death is new for most of us.
Thankyou for that information.

The book Above The Lines from Grub Street have only short notes in which units he served.

He was a saxon pilot because he is mentioned as receieving Knights Cross 2nd Class with Swords of the Albert Order on 10 Jan 1917 while serving within KG 7/38 during 1916.
Ref O`Connors Vol 3 about Saxon awards.

But Kasta 38 become Schusta 14 in January 1917 and the Grub mentioned that his first unit was Schusta 15. Perhaps he was transfered from Kasta 38 to Kasta 39 late 1916..!

Hannes probably has some ideas..and/or more information about him...?

Hi again

All Weiners victories when serving with Jasta 3 were scored over German lines according to a brief
KTB extract I have of this unit.
