I was wondering if anyone knew of the activities of the 203rd Squadron from it's formation in 1918 until the end of WW1. My great Uncle, Sgt William Nathanial Mayger, MM, was flying in this squad when he was shot down on 28/9/18 and killed.

Hi Jamie

You can have a look at the history of 203 Sq RAF by going through the "Aces Icon" of this site, to the "Air services", then choose "Great Britain" and then finally on "Royal Naval Service" (3 Naval) which will hopefully take you to the right page.

Regards

Gert

I presume you have read a copy of "Bloody April Black September." They note that Sgt Mayger was shot down by Lt Bassenge of Jasta 2 at 0830hrs.
