I've just been talking to my new neighbour and he says his grandfather flew for the German Airforce in WW1. His name was Hans(?) Willy Jakobasch. He evidently flew Dr.Is and D.VIIs.

Does anyone have any information on this guy?

I can tell you, he's not listed in The Jasta Pilots. Perhaps the spelling is not correct?

Hi Gordon

A slight possible candidate is Lt dR Joschkowitz who served in Jasta 4 of the Richthofen Geschwader from 19 Sept 1917 until 1 April 1918.
He had one confirmed victory..
Can you recieve some more information from your neighbours regarding the exact spelling of his name..?....then its possible to add further information.

VBR
Gunnar
