Hey, has anyone heard of any LvR biographies. Second, has LvR's brief postwar life (1918-1922) been documented other than in Kilduff's book?

Dave,

I've heard a rumour that one of the editors from the 'Over the Front' journal is writing a new biography on LvR that will be due out this coming fall.

Amy is right: The editor is Suzanne Hayes Fischer, 5002 Audrey Circle #203, Indianapolis, IN 46254. If you have seen that picture of LvR with his jaws wired, well that's part of Suzanne's research. She came to see us several years ago and she showed me the bundle of data she had amassed, but she wouldn't let me get a glimpse of anything. She even visited the Richthoften Geschwader in Germany and showed them what she had, and what she had amazed them. Amy, can you send me the street address of Wings over the Rockies? Best regards, Billy H.02/12/00.

Suzanne Fischer is not exactly writing a book on LvR but she is translating the memoirs of Baronness von Richthofen, the mother of Manfred and Lothar.

Dave and Philippe: What's taking Suzanne so long? She ought to get in touch with Jan Hayzlett, who did the translation of Bodenshatz's book foor Grub ST Press. Well, Sue ought to consider do a book on Lothar, as she certainly has enough data for that...If you have her e-mail, I'd like to talk to her about this. Best regards, Billy H.02/14/00.
