Perhaps anyone with any news or info regarding the Luke film being considered by Universal might share some of their knowledge. Any hints as to the cast or whether it will be or is in production would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance

I do hope Kory's not serious. Val Kilmer?!? The man who killed the Batman franchise! Jim Carey would make a better job of it than Val Kilmer.

I'm with Pen (Kory).

We know that Iceman, um Killmer, can handle a plane. We also know that he's a courageous pilot, tested in battle. Of course, that was in the mid 80's, so I'm not sure if he still has the touch, but I say we ought to give him a chance.

Hey i'm no Val groupie but the guy is a spitting image of him(Luke).

It's not like we need a real thespian for this "guts and glory" role.
He's a big name and would bring more than WWI buffs to the movie...more $$$$

Much as I like the idea of "Iceman" in a SPAD, Kilmer's just too old for the role. Sean Penn has an uncanny resemblance but HE'S too old, and can you imagine Madonna in a WW I aero flick? Maybe Luke Perry (stage name Frank Luke Perry??) could pass for 21.

With our luck, they'll probably get diCaprio to play Luke.
I wonder if Matt Damon is available. After all, at least he survived WWII (thanks to Tom Hanks).

Ok I can handle Matt Damon.

heh If the movie was done by Steven Spielburg, I wonder if he'd make the actors go through some dangerous re-enactments of WWI flight training along the same vain of infantry training for actors in Saving Private Ryan.
