Marvelous Mayor of Murvaux

Billy H is pleased to report that I got Lillian Pfluke to phone the Mayor of Murvaux (silent all these months) and that he was most pleased to heelp us in restoring the memorial plaque. She imputes his silence to the fact that he was looking for a local man to price out a replacement, but that to date he had had no luck. Lillian works for the American Battlefields and Cemeteries Commission, in Paris.
