René Chambe's memoirs

The well-known French airman, René Chambe, arrived to Rumania sometimes between July 16 and August 12, 1916 (before the outbreak of hostilities in that Balkan country). I would like to know how did he reach Rumania, by train/ship or air. If the latter is the case, I'd like to know details.
Post war, he wrote several books, one being his memoirs, entitled: “Sous le casque de cuir” (literally, 'Under the Leather Helmet'). Maybe his memoirs shed some light on this action.

The book you mention seems to be classed as a
novel, there are a couple of copies on sale. Not cheap though.

Given Romonia's geographic location, I would think that Chambe could not have arrived by ship or by air.
