According to French records there were three fighter pilots taken prisoner this date, 12 April 1917.
Carre, as mentioned above.
Adj-Chef Georges Chemet, N 112, flying Spad VII #1200
MdL Benjamin de Tascher, N 26, flying Spad VII #184, forced to land at Attigny, cause unknown. He later escaped and rejoined N 26.

Bill,
could you have something mixed up?
Didn't N.26 (de Tascher) fly against German 7th army ?
Alltough 3rd Army was neighbouring it seems more likely to me that Chamet with Nieuport XVII was landing in Attigny as his N.112-colleague Carré did in Leffincourt, both because of stormy weather (as Rammjäger found out).
Could you send me a private mail with your address ? I will send you a photo of Nieuport 1276 for your further resaerch in this special case.

N 26 moved to Bonne-Maison on 1 April 1917,
De Tascher became lost and landed in German territory.
The GC 12 Resumes des Operations state: "Maréchal-des-Logis de Tascher (Pilote) de l'Esc N 26, parti en patrouille à 5 h. 30 n'est pas rentre." As you see the location is not given, I am not sure where the location came from.

However, if, as other material I have states, he became lost it is not out of the question, approximately 80 km NE of Bonne-Maison.

Maybe some shortened notes of Kofl 3 can clarify the relations a bit more:
Enemy losses because of misorientation:
10.4.17 - Nieuport-onseater landed O.K. on airfield Alincourt, pilot Corporal [Caporal] Chantorn [or Chantou or similar - r]
12.4.17
- Spad-combat oneseater landed near of Attigny, pilot Souslt. v. Tascher unwounded captured, airplane undamaged
- Nieuport combat oneseater on airfield Leffincourt, pilot Corporal Carré unwounded captured, airplane undamaged

Other captured Nieuport-pilots in the sector of the 3rd German Army were
2. April 1917 6 p.m. in the area of Poix-Terron: Adjutant Bartal.
14. May 1917: On the airfield Vouzirs [sp in the document] landed Corporal Le Gras [sp?] because of navigational error, unwounded. *

Rammjäger,
hopefully Bill is able to add the Escadrilles to your new names. It is astonishing as many French Nieuport-pilots went astray to land on German airports during that period. Did some of them had a contract to deliver factory-new machines to Idflieg?
By the way, where did you get those information from? Kofl 3 reports?
