About eight weeks ago - that's EIGHT WEEKS AGO, which would be about the END OF OCTOBER, which would be a few weeks after a couple big buildings collapsed in New York - Pete kindly replied to a letter I sent him (as he always does). Pete, of course, lives in New Jersey. He also has the habit of not always writing his return address on his letters.
So you can imagine my reaction when a handwritten letter with no return address postmarked from New Jersey arrived in my mailbox. *
