Awesome! This is indeed good news, as we can now get a look at what the Type 27 looked like in this area (and correctly model Shaffer's machine).

I still am begging for people to please take pics of the MoS Type AI in the area of the gun. The poster of the pic above mentioned that it was an original AI - is this indeed true? Still, anything on the gun arrangement on the Type 27 is better that what I've come across so far.

I haven't been able to find a close-up of the gun area, but here is a photo from the left side. There is clearly no gun mounted left of center:


It is an original aircraft.

Sweet! Thanks for the image. From the first one, it looks like the Type 27 also did not have the "hump" of the Type 29 that "encased" part of the guns.

Getting just a little bit closer to knowing what this area looked like on the Type 27. Thanks, Rex!!
