Nice work DJ! 8)

I see you are powering it with a gas engine hiding behind that dummy Oberursel, what engine is it? Is the dummy rotary going to spin with the prop? Is the model from a kit or your own design? Lastly, how is the CG, do you need a couple of pounds of lead on firewall to balance it?

G-38 with a 2" extension. It balances at 30% of chord with no weight added. It is from my own plans based on the data file. The rotary will not spin. I figured that would be looking for trouble.

Again, nice job!

Are you anywhere near Rhinebeck, if so will you be attending the Rhinebeck R/C Jamboree in September?

No, I missed it this year, and come to think of it, I'll probably miss it in 2002 as well. I'll be at "The Gathering of Corsairs and Legends" in Indianapolis September 6-8, 2002.

When your club schedules the July 2002 fly in, be sure to post the date in the Upcoming Events forum, I'll probably be able to get 5 or 6 guys from my R/C club in NH together for a road trip down your way.

Looks great David, I have been meaning to get back to you on the lozenge printed fabric. The colors look very good.

Wow what a fantasic model there mate. But how do you store it? If I had built this I could never fly it (not that I can fly model planes) for fear of all that hard long work being destroyed on its first flight

A removable wing makes them easier to store than you would think. I'll have to post a picture of my father's basement sometime. Between his and my models, almost every useable bit of space has a piece of airplane sticking in it!
