Alaska (AP NEWS SERVICE) - A suspected terrorist took off on an unauthorized flight on Christmas eve, violating provisions of the new Patriot Act which was passed in the wake of the Sept 11 attacks.
Not only did the terrorist - dressed in bright red with a Muslim beard and unmistakable middle eastern hat - bypass stringent new regulations at airport security checkpoints, his carry-on bags did not go through screening, x-ray scans, or random searches.
Recently hired Air Marshals attempted to apprehend the suspect, but two of them were unable to retrieve their crutches in time, and a third later stated that his two week training course had not covered the safety switch on his firearm.
Authorities were forced to call in the BATF, FBI and several SWAT teams after it was discovered that eight more terrorists had boarded the craft, discreetly disguised as tiny reindeer.
A brief firefight occured when the terrorists clearly assaulted government agents by flinging chocolate chip cookies and My Twin dolls at them. Forced to defend themselves, the SWAT teams shot all the suspects dead, after which the ATF burned a large red sleigh which was found to be laden with bomb-making materials.
Congress is now forced to consider new, more stringent airline regulations to keep the skies safe for our children.

Stephen forgot to mention that federal agents are currently arresting and detaining several thousand suspected accomplises of the alleged terrorists.
According to government sources these accomplises have been using shopping malls and street corners for conducting clandestine planning sessions and to solicit operating funds.
They were easily recognized by their addoption of the terrorist's uniform and use of the code phrase HO-HO-HO.
An FBI terrorism expert has reported that the uniform's red color is an obvious slap at democracy and a show of solidarity with other terrorist groups such as the "Red Brigade". It is believed that the code phrase is meant to villify The freedom of American women.

Sorry all, but this really happened. In the wake of the September 11th attack, the Airline industry has ground to a near halt and the immediate result is that Santa won't be coming to thousands of homes this year due to the layoff of many thousands of Boeing workers. A good many of us in the Pacific Northwest are donating to organizations like the Marine Corps Reserve that will be delivering new unwrapped toys to these families. I sincerely hope that many of you on this forum will consider sharing your fortunate circumstances by donating a toy to the less fortunate children. I can tell ;you that it is a traumatic circumstance to have to inform your children that Santa will not be coming this year.
Another charity that donates ALL of the money collected to those less fortunate is the Salvation Army. So, when you pass the shivering volunteer ringing a bell outside the supermarket or liquor store, y9ou ;might want to brighten some unknown family's holiday by giving an amount that you feel comfortable with.
So, your cartoon just isn't that funny.

Somehow I fail to see how the great humor of this cartoon(which I thought was a scream) causes poor children to go hungry, the entire airline industry to collapse, the Salvation Army to be financially destroyed, and brings us to the brink of the apocalypse.
I'm going to give to the Salvation Army again just like I do every year... and this cartoon is STILL funny! Thanks Ross!

:P Well its time we parents took up arms against these men in Red. For too long they have been ruining our budgets at Chrsitmas time. They have brainwashed our children into thinking that the kids can get what they want from Santa with no regard to the cost.
I say we band togther and search in every shopping center for Santa's helpers and remove them my any means. By my photo that I posted above you can see that we have taken down their leader. Now we must round them all up.
SAVE OUR CREDIT CARDS FROM THIS RED MENACE.... The Anti Santa Brigade rides again...

Stephen, Apparently, the world is full of things that you don't take the time to understand. But, be of good cheer; I'll be right on your six to explain them to you. You can rely on that.
If I were to take all of you on a tour of less fortunate homes on Christmas eve...those homes having children who were warned that Santa is not coming this year...even though he may be coming right across the street, you might understand this symbolism and empathize with the pain many parents are feeling this Christmas, through no fault of their own.
It was a cartoon in very poor taste for the current political climate, but, happily, most of the people it would affront
never stop by this forum.
Yep, Santa sure as hell is dead this Christmas.

Is it just me, or is everybody reminded of Barney Fife when they read that?
