I was born and raised in Listowel, Ontario (near Kitchener), studied history at Trent University in Peterborough, Ont.
Worked in the archives there for a few years, then had about seven years in Toronto.
Moved to England (Surrey and Sussex) in 1985, ended up in Spain in 1986 and am still here. I'm called 'Canadian Liz' hereabouts, and am most definitely still a Canadian at heart.
Just can't take the winters any more.
Regards
Liz

I'm trying to figure out if I can run across the border into Ontario and claim refugee status.
I figure with the way that US Civil rights are being circumvented, I might have a good argument!!

I was born in Vancouver and my wife is from a small town in the Peace River area of Alberta. We are living in Hampshire in the UK at the moment, for work reasons. Do we count as Canadians for your poll?

Since citizenship is determined by nationality of the parents and by place of birth, the answer would seem to be yes!

My sister-in-law is married to a Canadian. His name is Jarn. They live in Trano. Does that count ?

Al,
Canada is another life.
Vin,
My great-great-uncle Luke went to Australia, as did my wife's great-uncle (fortunately for me her grandfather who was going out to join him didn't get further than Oakville ON). Does that make me Australian?

Getting just too damn cold for me...27 years of white sheet 6months of the year is enough for me. I'm moving to the center of the world(toronto-or so they think lol) next year.

Tranna's not the centre of the world -- it's the centre of the (known) universe! Or so it seems to the locals...

Hi Michael:
I'm in Ottawa, doing an infrequent browse of the 'Off Topic' section of The Forum. I have a Sygrove update to post, but saw this thread along the way and am happy to be counted in. Ed Stevens is another Ottawa boy, who had the good sense to return here from Toronto a few years back.
Best of the Season
Dave
