We are 5 1/2 hours away from 2002 here Down Under.

So Happy New Year all. Hope 2002 is a better year that 2001.

Hello Ross!

I wish you and all other Forumites a happy new year!

BTW, I hope that where you live the new year will not start as "hot" as the old one ends and that you can use the bucket with ice and water for cooling Champagne instead of firefighting.

<dream>All the forumites find a central location and get together for the world's best New Year's bash. *Everyone gets to dance with Amy, Stephanie, Liz, yeah and even Missy - but NO champagne for her!</dream>

<reality>You're a great bunch, and even if I'll never meet most of you, this is still great! *Can't guarantee I'll be awake at Midnight EST (especially if I get my wife's stomach flu), but I'll lift one for you all, and do the same for me, please. *Here's to peace in 2002, and good luck to our EUROpean contingent on monetary union. </reality>

New Years Eve my wife and I watched Lawrence of Arabia *on T.V. All 4 hours of it. Its one of OUR favourite moives. Its the one I took her to on our first date 12 years ago. *;D

Back then she sat through all 4 hours of it and then went out with me again after that. *

Forgot that in the movie they used Tiger moths as Turkish 2 seaters. The Moths had some sort of camo applied to them and Early Turkish White Star/Cresent Moon on Red background markings.

Seeing as a Moth is flown from the rear seat it was interesting to see a "gunner" standing up in the rear seat facing backwards with an MG. They must of flown the Moths with mirrors.

I would like to offer my best New Year's wishes to all of the participants of the Forum.

I am away a lot these days, and not available to debate the weighty issues here as I would like. May you all find fair winds and following seas, even JohnL in his many forms.

Semper Fidelis,
