Wayne,
So sorry to disappoint, Sahib.
I'll tell you what I tell my cousin (who lives in NJ, and votes Democratic for the same reason his father and my father vote Democratic. THEIR father told them to.)
I don't agree with Rush Limbaugh on every issue, but I enjoy listening to him and his analysis is pretty damn perceptive.
I also try to read his brother David's column at every opportunity.
And, wishing harm to befall someone because you don't like his views ("I wish that he had lost the use of his tongue instead of his left ear. ") may be fine for liberals, but real conservatives aren't that mean-spirited. While I've never heard a liberal speaker rudely treated by conservative audiences, I know for a fact that Ann Coulter, Dinesh D'Souza, and David Horowitz (among others) have had threats made against their lives when they appear at college campuses.
VBR,
Mike

It's the old game of "Conjugations"

I am a freedom fighter
You are a rebel
He/she is a terrorist

I'm sure that both the United Empire Loyalists who were driven out of the Thirteen Colonies for their support of the Crown, and the "Patriots" who were on the receiving end of the attentions of Butler's Rangers, would say that they had been subjected to terrorist attacks.

blackboard.I'm not a Liberal,but that

But she is nice looking, she needs to spend
some time with the masses.

Liberal media? I believe you will find that the media is owned by several large companies and/or millionaires hardly any of which are liberal.
There are a few liberal talk hosts around, but they are greatly outnumbered by their consevative antagonists.

I don't know about you guys, but I find this labeling hard to accept. I think most people are like me. On some issues, I am conservative and on others I am not. Both sides have some good ideas and both have ideas that I find hard to accept.

I vote for whomever I damned well please. *I have never voted a straight party line. *I'm a Democrat because republican officials usually do a reverse Robin Hood. *They rob the poor and middle class and give corporate welfare to the rich. *

I have degrees in Mass Communications and Psychology. *I see the bias on BOTH sides. *Rush Limbaugh is nothing more than reactionary entertainment. *He uses every trick in the book of rhetoric and propaganda to twist the facts to fit his narrow-minded views and keep his ratings up. *He has also spewed-out some of the most mean-spirited and vicious garbage that I have ever heard from either side of the fence. *Since I know you to be intelligent and educated the only excuse that I can see for finding him "perceptive" is that he tells you what you want to hear. *As others at the Forum are fond of saying: *"Everyone who agrees with me is a genius."

Ever heard of hyperbole? *Also, you've read enough of my political views here to know that I'm a moderate. *If anything my views lean to the right. I just don't let myself get sucked into someone else's agenda.

Pardon me for being rude but Bull%&*$!

I have. I don't think that the true believers of either side have a lock on forbearance.

So what? *Back in the seventies several speakers at my college received death threats. *You can't blame the liberals or conservatives for the lunatic fringe. *Unless you thnk that the neo-Nazis who tried to stop Mosche Dyan (sp?) from speaking there were liberals disguised in jackboots and riot helmets.

Mike, if some of my statements sound offensive it is because I found some of yours offensive. *My comments are aimed at your arguments, not at you personally. *If it appears otherwise I appologize. *I happen to think that you are one of the nicest guys here at the Forum. *I do think that your conservative bias clouds your political viewpoint sometimes. * * *

Best Regards,
Wayne

Hmmmm... tax the poor, give to the rich, or save the whales, kill the babies. Decisions, decisions.

I've watched Rush exactly 3 times. Every single one of those 3, he managed to say something racist and offensive. I'm not the most easily offended guy around either... it's not so much what he says either... it's that his sheep will recite it as gospel.

I'm pretty moderate, and would NEVER vote a party ticket. I think that's one of the best ways to insure that you ARE NOT represented fairly. Vote the issues and the individuals, not the party line. I tend to be conservative on issues like constitutional rights... liberal on issues like tax reform. I personally think the "flat tax" is a good idea, for example, and always have. No tax breaks, just make it fair for everyone.
