I had a subscription to OTF in 2000; however, I never renewed it for 2001 (mostly because I cut back on some spending). I will say that I always received my issues far later than the cover date. I can't say I'll renew my membership anytime soon, because I can get more out of well-informed forum members here at The Aerodrome.

I'd love to subscribe to OTF but is it actually safe to pay via internet with a creditcard ?

I think so. I've never had any problem with it, anyway. And I shop online all the time.

Remember that OTF is a volunteer organization, so its a little harder to complain when they fail to meet publishing deadlines. I'm just glad it exists at all.

Thank you Stephen.

I think twice before paying via internet especially since a bunch of hacker idiots hacked the playboy website and traced the card numbers of many visitors. But I don't think hackers would hack a website about WW1 aviation magazines.

I'll indulge in shamelss hype to promote two other fine publications:

Flight Journal (check the web site) every month has superb photography, frequently Great War content, and world-class writers. Ahem.

The Hook, quarterly journal of the Tailhook Assn. (check the web site) Superb photography, very little GW content, and world-class writers. Ahem. Ahem. If you're remotely interested in naval aviation, this is THE pub for you.

I did have a subscription to OTF but let it drop. It didn't satisfy enough of my WWI aviation interests (Canadian pilots) to justify the cash. I doubt that CnC will do so either. I am looking to back issues of both as well as the Journal of the Canadian Aviation Historical Society.

I'm not too concerned with it arriving late but like Stephen, I'm just glad it exists at all. I have no complaints with OTF.

I have to second this. I have a subscription to OTF and CCI and I'm eagerly awaiting every new issue. I think this journals are the best sources for every serious WW1 aviation enthusiast. Like Stephen and Amy I'm glad they exist at all.
