Ladies and Gentlemen:
I have often wondered how many you subscribe to OVER THE FRONT and CROSS AND COCKADE INTERNATIONAL. These are two of the most informative journal on WW1 Aviation. Both have quarterly Journals with well writen articles, with pictures, aircraft drawings unit and individual's histories. I know that some of you belong to OTF because you had indicated you were going to the Seminar in San Diego. Those of you that don't should make the investment it is well worth the money. The Over the Front subscription for 2000 was $37.00, the 2001 is probably around the same The address is;

I subscribed to "Over the Front" for 2 years, and it is definitely an excellent publication. My interests, however, lie mainly with the aircraft of WWI and earlier. Unfortunately, I'm on a rather limited budget, and I've found that "WWI Aero" published by World War I Aeroplanes, Inc. more closely mirrors my interests. This is not to take anything away from "Over the Front" or "Cross and Cockade", but merely to highlight another fine publication that focuses mainly on the aircraft of WWI and earlier.

I just signed up for OTF this year and have received two or three issues so far (I think two). Nice. I can't get CandC yet as I'm spending money accumulating books, and my wife would likely kill me if she knew how much I'm spending on books as it is.

John

I've subscribed to OTF since Vol. 4, C&C(Int.) since Vol. 20 and Windsock since Vol. 4
All are incredible sources of info and well worth the price.
C&C(US) are also worth getting if you can find them.

Proud to say I have every issue of OTF ever published. Only have a smattering of C&C's though.
And while I'm at it (INCOMING!), remember to check out the article on my pal Charlie Heater in OTF Vol 3, No 3. He was a great guy.

I am currently subscribed to no *aviation magazines. :-/
But I must agree with Mike. My first choice would be WW1 Aero.
I just love that hardcore technical stuff *
I don't want to start a war or anything
But.. if I had to chose bettween OTF and C&C and Windsock
which would be my best choice?
Keeping in mind that my personal preference is for technical illustration, structural data, and general modeling info.
Yea I pretty much just look at the pictures *:
TIA

And speaking of OTF
I've had illustrations on the back covers of the last two issues.
And i still haven't seen either of them !!
Rodger - I KNOW you are out there
So what do you say - think I could get a copy?

You allow them to use your illustrations (I assume for free), and don't even get a complimentary issue? Frankly, I'm shocked.
