An earlier thread on snow conditions makes me ask the question...How often would weather conditions negate offensive patrols. If we can assume that the month of June would allow, say, 95% of the month as applicable flying weather, what would the percentages be for the fall, winter months when the cold and snow would hamper flying?

I read somewhere that Bristol Fighter Squadrons flew 'cloud patrols'when the muck was at ground level,what were they?
