John L,

You are calling OTHER people "a pompous bastard"? The irony...

You have no idea what I was saying or what I was trying to do. Stop drawing phoney conclusions on things you are imagining.

If you want to burn crosses, fine. Burn them in your own garden.

Is someone trying to spread that crap about FDR KNOWING that the Japanese were going to attack Pearl Harbor again? If so, just forget it. He didn't know, we didn't know, some of us suspected, but didn't know for certain.

End of story.

VBR,

Al Lowe

Al, the phrase “out of left field” springs to mind.

The point I was making by mentioning Pearl Harbor in the context of this thread is that there was/is a question and that research is always being conducted to find more about what happened, and should history texts be modified because of it - rhetorically?

But Pearl Harbor's old news. I was certain one of you gentlemen would know something about the question of Glen Miller's demise!!

....and for heaven's sake, stop winking at each other!

So, is your wife a goer? He asked knowingly, wink, wink, nudge, nudge, say no more.
