This is a mystery which has bugged me for years. It's not a WW1 story, but I think you will find it interesting.
On 10 August, 1978 a pilot, named Fred Howard was flying his Cessna 182 to Duquesne, Indiana when out of nowhere several small moving dots appeared on the horizon. They were at least 20 1920-30 airplanes in the air. When he looked down at at the airport, it was no longer the modern airport he knew. There was only 1 wooden hanger instead of the two metal ones he knew.
It was then that a Laird Speedway pulled up in his flight path. The Laird's prop cut through the Cessna's left wing, and the Cessna's prop cut into the Lairds tail.
The Cessna crashed but the pilot survived. When he tried to explain the accident to the FAA, well, you can guess how that went. But, it checking the records it was discovered that on 10 August, 1934 a Laird Speedway NC 6344 hit "an unknown enclosed monoplane"
Mr Howard tracked down the Laird which had been in storage since 1940. When the tail was examined the Cessna's propeller's manufacturer identification tag was found embedded in the Laird's tail!
Did Howard and his Cessna travel through time on that August afternoon.

There were also reports by RAF flyers over Germany in WWII of a red triplane chasing them at breakneck speed...
So, who knows?
Of course, he could've just had a bit too much to drink before going up...

You can physically only travel,foward in time,in your mind,you can go back in time.This guy probably should not have eaten ,magic mushrooms before flying.

What about the Yank Figter Pilots over Germany in 1945?Some reported having to take violent evasive action to escape shimmering silver discs that chased them.Their reports were put down to strain of battle.It has since come to light that the Germans tested all manner of weird and wonderful tranclements.Maybe it pays to take these stories with a smaller pinch of salt.

And why are there still Roman soldiers marching under a building in York?

And don't anyone say "because their centurion didn't tell them to halt."

Richard:

This story is fantastic to say the least. As a skeptic, I have few questions for you;
1. How did you come by this story?
2. There are a number of specifics that would appear to be verifiable. Have you done so?

I am interested in your responses.

Regards,
Barkhorn

Barkhorn;
This story comes from the summer of 1979 issue of Aviation Review. There are a lot of other details and evidence that I left out to keep the story short, but to me it's a real mystery. I am not saying that Howard traveled through time, or that time travel is really possable, but who knows?

I don't know if this is true or not...sounds very intriguing.
But I know an awful lot of Democrats who are seriously interested in duplicating the process.
