I hate to think how many hours others spent at this forum arguing over
how red the Red Baron's plane was. I won't argue that. But in Barry Wheeler's book Military Aircraft Markings and Profiles, his "vermillion doped" MvR DrI has a distinct orange cast to the red. Otherwise I understand that orange was used on at least one Pfalz DIII (you know, back then, not the 70s!) |
