Does anyone know of a Orange Fokker Dr.1 color scheme, I thought I saw a book, Can't remeber the name, that had an Orange Fokker Dr.1 on it.

Yes, there is an orange Dr1. however, i have it on the cover of a book with drawings of some of the planes, engines, and guns of WW1. produced by airage.com

the pic on the cover is of a replica Dr1 done in orange covering.

Perhaps you might be thinking of the Fokker Triplane built about 1967(?) by Cole Palen, and used in airshows at the Rhinebeck Aerodrome for the next 20(?) or so seasons? It usually had an orange fuselage, and maybe wings.

Jim Appleby built and operated an orange one out of Flabob Airport- in So. Calif.- in the '70s". He called it "Orange Julius"-- VBR.....Lee
