What happened to the Oberleutnant Maximillian von Cossel (FFA 62)- the observer of the ace
 Rudolf Windisch - who blow up a strategic railway bridge behind the Russian lines the 2 october 1916 ? Did this daring man survive the war ?Thanks for your help. |

He was observer with Kampfstaffel 8 of KG II and became French POW after air combat (WIA) near Pontavert on 28. June 1917. POW lasted until 1920!
1936 he was Adjutant of the so-called "Reichskriegsopferführer" (= leader of the victims of war). |
