Hi
The KTB from Marine Feldfliegerabteilung I(28 November) states that they started 10:26 for a reconnaisance with LVG cII 272/16.
The aircraft did not returned.
The KTB from 29 November states the British radiostation "Poldnu(?)" reported "a German aircraft forced down near Dunkirk. Two Naval officers were taken POW.
The crew had maps over London. They were brought down after succesfully bombed London with 6 X 12 Kg P.u.W.bombs."
It seems that they decided to make the attack without order...
Both later escaper(or were repriated..?). Lt dR MA Walter Ilges later showed up as interned in Spain...
VBR
