NEVER AGAIN will anyone be able to say (well, OK, he might SAY it but only at expense of his good reputation on the Forum) that we're obsessed with MvR, Voss, and Luke. By actual count there are no fewer than five Bishop threads this month with a current total of 132 responses. (This one makes six threads--omigosh! Enough to start a tapestry!)
C'mon you guys: doesn't ANYBODY want to quibble about the colo(ur) of WV's cowling? FL's shootout? MvR's girlfriend?
I know: who was the better motorcycle driver--Luke or Voss?

Sorry Barrett, there are no corresponding German losses to any of Bishop's motorcycle claims either. His Harley-Daimler claim of April 29, 1917
(Hochmeuller-sidecar WIA)was a full six hours after the incident occured and 34 clics south on Cambrai road.
I do believe that Bishop was responsible for raiding the Vespa factory in Izel though.

Holck

Now wait a minute. Billy did too get those cycles, I know, I was there. I have these wonderful Polaroids of the first one spilling, it's great!

What can I say, there hadn't been a good argument about Bishop in a long time (the threads where Jasta follows me around always bringing up McCudden's score don't count), so I thought I'd stir the pot a little.
Of course, I had a little help from North of the 49th parallel when a friend sent me a copy of Dave Bashow's Knights of the Air.

Which was the better motorcycle? Harley or Indian?
This should reach 100 at least.

Mike;
I would have to say the Indian. The only bike I ever owned was a 400cc Honda, damn I miss that bike!
Al;
I don;t know, I thought the German motorcycle records were complete in his area.
Alex R;
Was the front fender of Voss's BMW really yellow?
