Congratulations Christy!

I know how hard you've worked on this... I'll be out of town that weekend, but good luck on the festivities. I think a lot of people on this forum are unaware of how important a role Weir Cook had, not only as a WWI ace, but as a post-war aviation figure. Thanks for your efforts.

Thank-You!
Yes, I wish people all over could see what he'd done just for modern flying. The people we think were the one invinter of things of the circle of flying, well i've learned H. Weir Cook were friends with these kinds of people & may of helped out in alot of different areas. Just look at the parachute! Or lighting of our own major airport. The list goes on. You should see the letters I've read a girl talking about the WW1 being over.Oh remeber how I wanted to find Weir's radio talk show day notes from Cinnci? Well found them & their sending me copies. I have gone to my town board & asked for space at town hall to make an exhibt. They said YES!!!!
Were going to profissional tape the dedication & will have them for sell. Can't wait to see everyone view the fly-over. If you get a chance come over & view Weir's monument! I think it is what he & Weir Jr. would be very proud of. Weir's grandson came over & I was their working, I noticed him looking with a smile. He turned around while I looked at him & looked at Weir's picture I knew it was Weir cooks Grandson. Two of the boys have the Weir look. The 7,000 pd limestone come from the Indpolis. Cannal so it has history to.

Location of the park is:
Wilkinson,IN. off I-70 EAST of Indianapolis
north on 109 right in town.
Skinner: one of our boys was featured for his part for the "we value youth award". And they showed part of the park esp. the monument.
