What other squadrons in USAS during the WWI besides the 9th and the 96th were equiped with Breguet 14 airplanes? If posssible, I would like photographs and history for the forthcoming book THE BREGUET CHRONICLES. Contributors will receive credit. William A. Wylam

I wish to be the first of many to welcome you to the net. I have admired your work for more years than I wish to admit. Welcome Bill, if I may. How are things in sunny California.

Hello Bill!
Let me add my welcome to Dan's! It's been many years! You may recall that we met when Jim Pawket was building several N-28s in the 70's. You'll find much of interest here on the "Forum" and will, on your own part, be a notable contributor. We are all fortunate in being able to look forward to your participation. Regards! Lee

Watch out for these guys, Bill. They'll turn a simple request for info about anything into a long tirade about Billy Bishop. Glad to see you here. --Gene Tucker

Welcome..........the 99th Corps Observation Sqdn had some on its strength for a time. This is noted in a old C&C - I will try and nail down the issue for you.......also is referenced in the Flying Machine Press work of French Aircraft of WWI.
I recall some other pics I will try and find.....

Bill:
According to James Davilla and Arthur Soltan's book "French Air Force of the First World War", page 124, the 99th Corps Observation Squadron had Breguet 14 aircraft on it's strength for a brief time. I hope this is of help.
Blue skies,
Dan-San Abbott
