Hi Thorsten!

That's what I've found in CGAS and in the "Zickerick-Verlustliste":

Vizefeldwebel Erhard Preiß, *12.08.90 Leipzig
Pilot with Afla 206. Died Hartmannsweilerkopf 14.9.15

Leuntnant d.Res. Arnold Winter, *24.5.97 Gleiwitz
Observer with Afla 206. Stammregiment was Feld-Artillerie-Rgt.14. Died 14.9.15 Berrweiler.

Tja, I don't know what could have caused their fate. Perhaps Winter survived the crash and died later on ???

Do you know where Afla 206 was based in september 1915?

Perhaps Rick has some more info...

Kind regards, Immo

There is something told about their accident in Ernst Udets book "Mein Fliegerleben". AFA 206 was till middle 1916 with Armee-Abteilung B before leaving to the battle of the Somme.
