Hawker is sometimes referred to as the English Boelcke. Did he develop something such as the "Dicta"? Or, were there other reasons?

Leo,

Lanoe was a born leader, developed a solid theory on airfighting and was also a capable inventor/innovator, constantly tinkering with gunmounts, bombracks etc.
Whilst he did not 'codify' too much beyond "attack everything",as did Boelcke, he led by example and taught his young charges well.

Take away all of his victories and he would still have been one of the greats.

regards

Darryl

A cup to the dead already-
Hurrah for the next that dies!
