I've mislaid my copy of Flying Corps Gold. I am designing a campaign for an old boardgame called Blue Max and I need the Cambrai map that is included on the disk. Is it possible that one of you could zip the file up and Email it to me? It should zip down to a fairly small file.

The file is a bitmap that resides (I think) in the maps directory. My original copy (pre gold) came with paper maps, but they've long since been lost.

I'd really appreciate it if you could help me, asap. In return, I'd be happy to send the finished campaign rules to all that want them.

Many thanks in advance

Make sure you have the rights to use the map if it is going into a commercial product. You don't want legal hassles from copyright infringement.

If nothing else, get it open in the game (sometimes games graphics are glommed together into resource files and are not accessible as individual files), and then hit <alt><PrtScn>...press both keys down at the same time. This takes a screenshot of the active window and copies it to the Copy/Paste buffer.

Then go to Start>Programs>Accessories and click on Paint. That will open Windows Paint.

Hit <ctrl><v> together (this is the shortcut for "paste". The image that you saw in the game should be pasted into a new graphic file that you can then save as a BMP. You can also get brave and use the rectangular select tool and Crop to remove the unwanted bits.

The maps are available as bitmaps in the mission editor section, I think.

I'm not producing a commercial game- just a campaign for a few mates to play. Like I say, I already own a copy of FCG.

Thanks for your help so far

Just sent some maps over. Does anybody know how to get the game working under Win98. I used to fly it quite a lot but removed it from my drive after RB2 and RB3D came along. Now it just wont work again

It should install and work fine- but you may need to restart your machine in DOS mode.

Thanks for the maps, btw- they are perfect for what I need!
