Were there any pilots, ace or otherwise, during WW1 that were born in the 20th Century? That includes the year 1900 as I realise some people don't class that as being in the 20th century!

Yes, there were a number of 18 year old pilots... some of them very successful. Back when some of them were still living and I tracked this sort of thing, there was an easy way to remember it. The youngest possible pilot of WWI was as old as the year... in 1987 every pilot was 87 yrs or older. Can't vouch for any aces, but I knew a number of guys who were flying at age 18.

Hate to be nitpicky, but 1900 is the last year of the 19th century, not the first of the 20th.

That's OK. I always figured that the mistake over the new millenium was just a good excuse to get 2 parties instead of just one. Sometimes confusion can be a good thing
