B1672

I recently bought a postcard of the wreckage of B1672. It appears to be a Spad or Nieuport and I doubt anyone could have survived. Any info on who this was and who shot the plane down? Thanks in advance.

Neiuport 17 B1672. 1 Sqn, 2Lt Eric Delaney Tyzack (late of Royal Engineers) Shot down by Bruno Loezer on 15th September 1917 between Roulers and Menin at approx 1530hrs

Tyzack was born in Sheffield and was 26 when killed.

By the way, nothing to do with Tyzack: but three graves on, same row, lies Captain John Santiago Campbell next to Driver George Tester (air gunner). Both 20 sqn RFC, KIA 28.9.17 in Bristol F2B A7210; Tester being my maternal grandfather. Small world. I'll pay my respects to Tyzack when I'm there next.
