I found these pictures on Jasta Boelcke. They say its pictures of Oswald Boelcke's Albetros, but it looks like a Fokker E.III just like Immelmanns crash. I have not seen these pictures of his wreck before.

Definitely a Fokker E.III. The steel tube fuselage alone is an almost certain identifier. Only AEG and Fokker used steel tube that extensively in their designs. The rotary engine is the other identifier that narrows it to a Fokker. It does look like the wreckage I've seen for Immelmann as well.

I feel for certain we are looking at the crashed remains of Fokker E.III 246/16. As you can see in http://www.geocities.com/aerodromeaces/ima...reck.jpg
the
angle that one of the photos was taken at is nearly identical -and if you look carefully at the curious onlookers, you may see a resemblance. The fellow in the light coloured tunic is a good indicator when compared to http://www.geocities.com/blackflighttripe/...g

Gaston
Graf has recently posted a "correction" concerning these photos.
It appears even the Boelcke family has been fed misinformation as to the identity of OB crash photos.
