Flew the Aircam between thunderstorms on squadron business yesterday. OK, so she's not a real WWI aircraft, but she's very much a modern day equivalent in many respects. Open cockpits (as in no fairing for the back seater whatsoever!), a twin pusher, wire and strut braced highwing. 29 mile flight from Visalia to Porterville was uneventful except for mock strffing runs on chickencoops etc. Did notice a horse stop and watch us go by! Broken clouds, intermitant rain. Cold. Light-dark, it was beautiful! Also looked up at few trees when we had the chance. Wasn't bumpy except for passing under one dark cloud. Only real thrill came on landing, just as tail end of a cell had plastered the P-ville airport. On dn wind leg we could see a palm tree laying over in the wind (directly down 3-0). Landing was ok except that the wind kept the tail up until we turned on to the taxi way , which imediately showed the flag at the resturant hanging limp! We're talking less than five seconds and 200yds away, maybe.

Gotta say it. Aircam is one fun airplane!
