As was said in Datafile 12 Hanriot HD.1 there is no evidence to support the assertion that these colours were applied overall. Just as with the former notion that the Sopwith Triplanes of the Black Flight were overall black , Coppen's Blue Hanriot could have been one of a number of Hanriots with at least No.24 bearing the blue and white rayed tail.

*I have a five view drawing of Lt. Willy Coppens turquoise blue Hanriot HD-1, No.6. *HD-1, No.24 was camouflaged in the french five color scheme. I have that also. Contact me off line for prices etc. I got the data directly from Willy in 1972.
