Hi,

On the 8th May 1918 Lt. Neinert shot down a DH twoseater near Pervijze, and the victory was confirmed, the plane seen to crash. It was his first.
I think he was a pilot of one of the Marine Feldjasta units, but does anyone know of which unit ?

Thanks and best from Regulus

Hi Regulus

Lt dR MI Robert Weinert was a member of MFJ II.

He had earlier served within SFS(Seeflugstation) Windau in the operation in Baltic Sea during autumn 1917, and therefore possible a short time within MFJ I.

He received the Ehrenpreis on 3 June 1918.

Gunnar

Thanks Gunnar, could have known it. Saw his name a few times as Neinert (possibly thanks to the quality of my copies, grumbl) and started to believe it was correct.
With a little luck I might find more on him.

Best from Regulus
